RED NOTICE: Review
When you take Deadpool and The Rock, put them together and sprinkle in some Wonder Woman, what do you get? Your new favorite action comedy Red Notice.
Dwayne Johnson is FBI agent John Hartly who hunts down Ryan Rynolds, Nolan Booth, an art thief going after the three eggs of Cleopatra only to get set by The Bishop, Gal Gagot, a rival art thief. Now John wanting to clear his name and Nolan wanting to remain the most wanted art thief must work together to find the eggs before Bishop.
I went into Red Notice thinking it was gonna be a fun buddy team up movie with action. But it was actually a real delight to watch. Which shouldn’t be much of a surprise with its cast. Johnson and Reynolds balance wonderfully off each other. To the point of thinking why they haven’t done a movie together sooner, not including Reynolds cameo in Hobbs and Shaw. Gal Gadot as the “villain ” fit in perfectly among the testosteron. The scene stealer of course was Reynolds who served as the main jokester.
The film combined heist with adventure turning into an Indiana Jones-esc style towards the end. The film took an unexpected but yet expected twist. The ending set up a sequel. Honestly Netflix is probably looking at their next franchise. A fun movie, not meant to take itself too seriously, to watch for anyone looking to have a good time and just want to laugh and watch Daddy Deadpool and Papa Rock or watch Mommy Gale kick butt. Overall Red Notice was a surprise hit for me that had me laughing throughout.
